windshield scratches are repaired using ...
...a windshield repair system , this means just the chip or bullseye is fixed, cracks can be harder to repair but not impossible by injecting resin under pressure into the area
The windshield scratches and bullseyes are repaired almost invisibly and the integrity of your car is maintained.
The trick is, to make a repair as soon as possible after the damage occurs - I'll explain later.
for very light scratches you can use a windshield scratch remover polishing down several grads of cutting paste until the glass becaomes cleare, this will take som time even with an electric polisher.

this windshield would need a miricle or two.
Most techniciance will of course come to your premises to do the work.
Ok, what are the windshield repair secrets
The process involves clamping a device onto the windshield, directly above the bullseye.
Resin is then injected into the chip. The area is now put under pressure to force the resin into the chip.
After some time we put a vacuum over the area to draw out any trapped air, this process is repeated until the air is removed and the damaged area is filled.
At this point the resin is cured hard under an ultra violet lamp, before cleaning up an polishing the windshield.
The whole process takes about half an hour and the finished repair is almost invisible.
It is very importantwhen dealing with windshield scratches and bullseyes to try to get the chip fixed as soon as possible I remember one occasion about ten years ago when I did absolutely nothing about a chip in my own car...
...it was OK during the summer, but on the first hard frost - I noticed a very small crack. Guess what? - I still ignored it - Right up to the time it spread completely across the windscreen.
At that point it became impossible to ignore!
What happened was that water had entered the crack and turned to ice...
...This ice had expanded in the crack letting even more water in. This allowed even more ice to form - You get the picture!! So please deal with any glass crack as soon as you can - its a lot less expensive.
I eventually sold the car to the young fella laying turf in my garden - on the way home he was unfortunatly stopped by the police and prosecuted for driving with the windshield in such a poor state!
Another lucky escape for me.
If you do need a replacement Windscreen can I offer a word of warning from my own experience.
Have you ever noticed rust around the windscreen area? Well, if your unlucky, and have someone inexperienced replacing your windscreen there is a possibility that they will use a Stanley blade or similar to cut the seal between the glass and the painted body panel.
The danger is, that if the blade cuts through the painted surface to metal, water will be able to enter, and the panel will start corroding.
The area surrounding the windscreen can now rust the replacing of that screen will now cost you a small fortune, - Car roofs are not the cheapest to have repayed!
I really can't believe a windscreen replacement company would do this but I have seen the results with my own eyes all too often. Remember forewarned is fore armed.
Another I found from the “Angry Kid” collection — enjoy!
